Iceland was the last European country to be settled, over a thousand years ago by Vikings from Norway. It's a country of geothermal springs, geysers, mudpools, volcanoes, glaciers, avalanches, waterfalls, fjords… and the Arctic sun.
Iceland is also home to arctic wildlife, such as the puffin and Icelandic pony. Reykjavík, the capital, is delightfully surprising with its bustling nightclubs, old town quarter and friendly citizens.
This land of contrasts is the perfect place to get some perspective, to look at where we are and where want to go, to re-examine some of our core beliefs. We'll witness the earth's restless core and, with the shift to our sense of day and night, intriguing insights are bound to come to light.
